Hayder Hassan On Phoenix FC 6 Clash With Pavel Kusch: 'I'm Going To Be Throwing Grenades'

[RANK5=John Hyon Ko] Hayder Hassan is a familiar name for those that have been following The Ultimate Fighter series. Even though he has shown glimpses of excellence on the show, this does not define his career since he has set a new path with Phoenix Fighting Championship.

He debuted for the promotion in late 2017 at Phoenix FC 4 and unfortunately, the contest ended with him being disqualified for elbows to the back of Roger Huerta's head. He was extremely disappointed with the outcome since he was taking care of business up to that point.

Now, he will get a second chance to prove himself by facing finishing machine Pavel Kusch in the co-main event of Phoenix FC 6 on April 5 in Abu Dhabi.

The Iraqi-American welterweight spoke with John Hyon Ko about his beginnings at American Top Team, learning from his two stints at The Ultimate Fighter, the unfortunate situation in his last outing against Roger Huerta, never taking an easy fight, enjoying the MMA scene in the Middle East, and more.
