[RANK5=John Hyon Ko] Brian Moore, the Straight Blast Gym featherweight, is a man of many crafts and fighting is just one of those he does extremely well.
With that said, "The Pikeman" has not had a fairytale run so far in the Bellator cage but the level of talent he has faced proves he belongs in there with the best. Although many people might describe him as a brawler, they will quickly realize that they mislabeled him when they go back and dissect his performances to understand the technical aspect of his game.
In his last fight against A.J. McKee in Dublin, he stayed relatively competitive throughout most of the exchanges but was caught in the third round with a submission. Chalk it up as a lesson learned for the Irishman and something he will not dwell on.
Now, Moore is heading to Hungary for the second time to do what he loves and that is put on a show against Italian prospect Giorgio Belsanti at Bellator 196 on April 6.
John Hyon Ko spoke with Brian "The Pikeman" Moore about fatherhood, takeaways from the A.J. McKee loss, considering himself a top ten featherweight in the promotion, Giorgio Belsanti being one-dimensional, motivation and more.
