[RANK5=John Hyon Ko] Mehmosh "The Renegade" Raza has been an excellent representative of Pakistani mixed martial arts since he started in 2015.
The skyrocketing featherweight prospect has been ripping through the regional scene in his home country while venturing out and having some success in the bigger promotions.
In his latest appearance earlier this year at Victory Fight Night 3, the 23-year-old jumped up a weight class and entered a 4-man one-night lightweight tournament. Needless to say, he breezed through the competition in dominant fashion to win the title.
Shortly after that glorious night, he picked up everything and relocated to Shanghai, China for the upgraded facilities of Dragon Warrior Gym as well as better opportunities on the global stage.
His first fight since his move will be at REBEL FC 7 against Igor Grytskiv in Shanghai on April 29.
In this interview, John Hyon Ko spoke with Mehmosh Raza about the raw talent in Pakistan, the reasoning behind his move to Shanghai, training with Chinese fighters, what he expects from Igor Grytskiv, and more.
